- Woven elastic is very strong and usually thicker than other elastics
- it resists rollig or twisting and is used on heavy weight fabrics including home decorating fabrics, car covers, bags etc
- It does not narrow when stretched, nor does needle piercing weaken it so it can be used in casings or stitched directly to the fabric
