- Tip: Use a little water or leave-in conditioner to refresh Curl Cream on non-wash days. Prep: Use a wide tooth comb or brush to detangle when in the shower. Use a micro-fiber towel or t-shirt to dry your hair with less frizz. Apply curl cream evenly from root to tip. Coil or twist hair to encourage the natural curl pattern. Air dry or diffuse on medium heat if you want more volume
